Dave Chappelle makes an appearance in Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut of A Star is Born, opening in theaters nationwide on Friday, October 5. In the film from Warner Bros Pictures, Chappelle plays a close friend to Cooper’s character Jackson Maine, a singer-songwriter who’s suffering from the excess of being on top. Jackson meets, and later mentors a young singer Ally, portrayed by Lady Gaga. The film follows their relationship through the highs and lows.
